Poppy Iceland Mix
Poppy Iceland Mix
This Poppy mix will be filled with soft pinks, peaches, yellows and reds. It is such a lovely mix of colours and they all look so fun together in a vase. They have a really long vase life too which is a bonus. They are surprisingly Winter hardy so I prefer to sow in the Autumn.
Please note, these seeds come with very plain foil packaging inside a paper envelope.
Sowing advice:
Sow Autumn directly into the soil, you can just scatter them or in a pot first. I prefer to sow mine in February or March and plant them out so they fatten up over Winter and then shoot away in the Spring when the soil warms up.
If you direct sow them I would make a cross in the soil or mark it with sticks so you know where they are.
Sow them on top of the soil and firm down as they are a very small seed. Water them in gently but don’t soak them or the seed can rot.
Keep the seed raising slightly damp but not wet. Germinates in 1 to 2 weeks.
