Achillea Summer Pastels

This is such a sweet mix of pinks, apricots, golds and terracotta. It makes such a great cut flower and an excellent gap filler in a posy.

It is a perennial so once you have it in your garden it will come back each year without you having to sow seeds. It gets about 60-80cm tall and looks great in a boarder with plants of all different heights like Honey Wart, Mignonette, Foxgloves, scabiosa etc.

Seed Sowing Instructions

  1. In early Spring, sow a few seeds into seed raising mix. Cover them very lightly or just press into the soil, the seeds are very small.

  2. Water them gently so the seeds don’t move around. Continue to water so they don’t dry out during the germination period.

  3. Once they have germinated and are approximately 3cm tall, you can thin them out or transplant them into the garden when the risk of frost is over.

  4. Alternatively, you can direct sow into a prepared garden bed in late Spring.
